MIGHTY MEN
Men’s Ministry purpose is to inspire, equip, and energize men to live Godly lives and be a leader in their home. This ministry provides men with the tools necessary to be a mature disciple of Christ and teaches the importance of prayer, study of God’s Word, accountability, and fellowship with other men. This ministry instructs men on how to develop a servant’s heart and supporting the Pastor’s vision for the church. DADDY'S GIRLS The Ministry to Daddy’s Girls is designed to provide various functions and activities for the women of the church to come together for Christian fellowship. It also provides an opportunity for women to minister to each other from a female perspective. The goal of this ministry is to equip women with the knowledge of God’s purpose for their lives. They strive to develop women who will live virtuous lives, setting examples for their daughters and other young ladies to follow. The Ministry to Daddy’s Girls also endeavors to minister to the spiritual needs of women, helping them to develop a close personal relationship with God. “Understanding Who you are In Christ,” “God Designed Us Equal but Different,” “Understanding the Women’s Communication Style,” and “The Uniqueness of Women” are a few examples of many topics discussed in the sessions. Finally, they try to reach out to women who do not have a relationship with Christ inviting them to accept Him into their hearts as their personal savior. WILLING HEARTS The purpose of the Willing Hearts Ministry is to provide resource support and assistance to members of the church and the community. The ministry advocates and assists individuals who face the challenges of everyday life and have difficulties meeting even the most basic household needs. The ultimate goal is to empower people through prayer, local resource information and when feasible financial assistance is provided to aid individuals to get to the place of self-sufficiency and increased faith in God. OUTREACH STREET MINISTRY The NLWC Outreach Street Ministry is designed to provide an avenue to evangelize the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to harvest souls to be saved into His kingdom. This ministry offers prayer to the sick and hurting, direction to the drifter, and encouragement to the hopeless. The Outreach Street Ministry serves the community twice a month and as a result, many souls have been brought to Christ. SUNDAY SCHOOL The Sunday School Ministry purpose is to provide a program to enhance growth in the faith of Christianity and promote development in the study and application of the Word of God. This program also promotes fellowship and seeks to empower both members and families by providing a friendly venue to ask questions and learn the Holy Scriptures. FIRM FOUNDATION – NEW MEMBERS CLASS The Firm Foundation Class purpose is to provide an in-depth teaching on church doctrine, ordinances, functions of the local church, and an understanding of the new members obligations to the church. The class covers the Pastors vision for the church and the goals of the ministry. This class serves as an excellent means for the new member to discover their personal gift for ministry and help them determine what area of ministry they will be most comfortable serving. MUSIC MINISTRY The music ministry of New Life is comprised of 3 groups. The ministry includes the Sanctuary Choir, New Life Devotion Praise Group, and King’s Kids Choir. The genre of all three groups consists of modern multi-ethnic praise and worship with Bible-based lyrics. The music ministry is used as a tool to usher in the presence of God, which prepares the hearts of the congregation to receive the Word of God. Their vision is to maintain sensitivity to the move of God and to promote an intimate relationship with God through praise and worship. SUBSTANCE ABUSE RECOVERY MINISTRY The Substance Abuse Recovery Ministry purpose is to educate on the negative impact alcohol and drugs have on individuals, family, and the community. In addition, this ministry provides support using the small group format and meets weekly. It promotes the practice of new life skills and instructs on how to live a Christ-centered and drug-free lifestyle. WOMEN FELLOWSHIP The Women’s Fellowship purpose is to motivate, train, and strength women to live a Christ- centered life. It also provides an opportunity for women to minister to each other from a female perspective. It seeks to influence and encourage participation in the Women’s Fellowship by hosting conferences and seminars geared towards feminine matters to help women understand their roles within the home and community. SECURITY MINISTRY The purpose of the Security Ministry is to provide a safe worship environment for all during weekday and weekend services. The primary goal of the ministry is to secure doors, windows and gates during the service and investigate disturbances on the church grounds. The security team applies basic security measures and secures parking during church services and special events. USHERS The purpose of the usher ministry is to serve God and his people by ministering to members and visitors. The Ushers help set the tone of the congregation. Ushering is also a great way to get to know your church family through assisting and serving them on a regular basis. In addition, they control traffic flow in and out of the sanctuary, support church events, and ensure that all souls who enter the Sanctuary are graciously received with a spirit of warmth and enthusiasm exemplifying the Body of Christ. MEDIA MINISTRY The purpose of the Media Ministry is to increase promotions and profitability through perfecting the recorded preached word of God, plays and events in the form of mass distribution of quality CDs and DVDs. In correlation with the vision of the church our media ministry has made and continues to excel in the use of technologies to advance the kingdom of God. Some of these technologies include the use of state of the art recording audio and video equipment, along with computer software programs to display lyrics, power points, scriptures and video broadcastings during Sunday morning services and Wednesday night bible studies.
