GOD IS SOVEREIGN
We believe we were created by our God to love, serve, and enjoy endless fellowship with him. The New Testament reveals it was Jesus Himself who created everything (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). Therefore, He also owns and rules everything (Psalms 103:19). That means He has authority over our lives and we owe Him absolute allegiance, obedience, and worship.
GOD IS HOLY
God is absolutely and perfectly holy (Isaiah 6:3); therefore He cannot commit or approve of evil (James 1:13). God requires holiness of us as well. 1 Peter 1:16 says, You shall be holy, for I am holy.
JESUS IS LORD & SAVIOR
Romans 10:9 says, if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your Heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Even though God's justice demands death for sin, his love has provided a Savior who paid the penalty and died for sinners (1 Peter 3:18). Christ's death satisfied the demands of God's justice, and Christ perfect life satisfied the demands of God's holiness (2 Cor 5:21) thereby enabling Him to forgive and save those who place their faith in Him (Romans 3:26).
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We Believe and Teach in the triune of God: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. The Holy Spirit is a divine person. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and are in need of salvation. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men. It is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit. Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer. The church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust. In a personal, visible and imminent return of Jesus Christ in water baptism and observance of the Lord’s Supper.
Man cannot purchase salvation, nor can he merit or earn it. Salvation is God’s GIFT to man. Jesus asked a Samaritan woman for a drink of water. She was astonished that a Jew would ask a Samaritan for a drink. But instead of trying to explain to her why He had asked her for a drink, Jesus said, “If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water” (John 4:10). Jesus led the woman into knowledge of the gift of God, she received that gift, and was saved.
God’s gift of salvation is absolutely free, and utterly undeserved. It is not a prize awarded for specific achievement or for some outstanding deed. Salvation is bestowed upon a person when that person believes on Jesus and trusts in His shed blood. The only possible way to come into possession of a gift is to receive it from the giver. God so loved the world that He gave Jesus to pay the penalty for sin. Therefore, a person can be saved only be receiving the gift of God-The Lord Jesus Christ. “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9).
